As co-director of the IIDE, Philippe Bourbeau plays an active role in:
- The Institute's strategic planning and governance structure
- The organization of round tables and conferences
- The development of the Ambassadors program and the Advisory Council
- Consolidating partnerships with business leaders and public decision-makers
- Coordination of a research team of six assistants
The IIDE acts as a platform for dialogue between businesses, researchers and political decision-makers to propose concrete solutions to the challenges of economic diplomacy.
About
A convening manager and catalyst of ideas, he has extensive experience as an institutional builder, an external funding portfolio of more than $12 million as a principal investigator, and an international network of academic and professional collaborators.
Philippe Bourbeau, who holds a PhD in political science from the University of British Columbia, is a full professor at HEC Montréal and co-director of the International Institute for Economic Diplomacy (IIDE). His academic, institutional, and media career focuses on recognized expertise in economic diplomacy, resilience, migration, and geopolitics.
